Beyrensia

The continent of Beyrensia is located in the Northern Hemisphere of Mægwen. Beyrensia derives its name from the Unn Bey, the most prolific ethnic group of the continent. The majority of Unn Bey remain in the southern part of the continent, divided into a number of tribal groups populating the expansive Beyrensic Plains. Beyrensia's southern physical boundary is demarcated by the Great Spires, an enormous and seemingly impassable mountain range that spans west to east from the Western Sea to the Jungles Fehr. The borders of the continent are not solely demarcated by geologic formations, but in the east the Jungles Fehr mark the end of known civilization and thus the jungle itself provides a border. In the northeastern expanse, known by the indigenous as Nosklend, the climate becomes too cold for the formation of traditional civilizations, and so there exists an invisible boundary which divides civilization and frontier. Nosklanders are grouped into tribal societies known as Gyðjar, and though the Gyðjar are not troublesome as a whole, an individual Gyt may raid regions to the south. The only apparent civilization of Beyrensia is Atticosh, an extensive empire that stretches from the Western Sea to the hinterlands, where it is kept contained and protected by a series of fortified structures such as walls and strongholds, meeting the Unn Bey in the south and east, and the Nosklanders in the north and east.

A map of the continent will be made available once enough fragments surface to offer a complete picture.
